First City plan
PA Wellington First City Finance, Ltd, is to reorganise its company structure and change its name to First City Corporation, Ltd, following the purchase of Telecheck Payment Systems, Ltd. Shareholders' approval for the moves will be sought at an extraordinary general meeting on February 26.
The reorganisation will come into effect from April 1. First City Corporation will be a holding company with two main subsidiaries.
First City Finance will carry on the finance business, and Telecheck Payment Systems will continue its cheque authorisation and verification services in New Zealand and Australia.
