Shipping director
PA Wellington An Auckland chartered accountant, Mr Peter Coote, has been appointed to the board of the Shipping Corporation, the Minister of Transport, Mr Prebble, has announced. The appointment brings the number of directors to nine.
Mr Prebble said that the appointment was another move to “strengthen
the base” of the New Zealand Shipping Line. It comes after last month’s announcement of a $l2O million capital injection for the corporation. Mr Coote is in private * practice in Auckland. He is a director of several public companies, including Rainbow Corporation, Ltd, and Powercorp Group, Ltd, and a number of private companies.
