Edwin Fox to be open today

The Edwin Fox wreck will be officially opened to the public today by the member of Parliament for Marlborough, Mr Doug Kidd. About 2 p.m. Mr Kidd will officially open the vessel and welcome one of the key workers in the restoration, Mr Paul Hundley, a research officer for the West Austrlian Maritime Museum in Perth.

Walkways have been built inside the hull to

improve access for the public. The president of the Edwin Fox , Restoration Society, Mr Harry Stace, said a full-time site supervisor had been appointed. Mr Mike Sixtus, of Masterton, will be on hand ,to tell interested visitors about the vessel The vessel will be open from 10.30 a.m. on weekdays. Tickets will be sold at $2 for adults, $1 for

children and $5 for family groups.
