Search for stolen boat
The Akaroa police are hoping that the public will help them find a boat stolen from Takamatua last week.
Constable Gerry Williamson said that the boat and its trailer were towed away last Thursday evening or Friday morning from the boat parking area at Takamatua. The five-metre boat had a white hull with a blue band around the top, and blue-and-white seats. It was fitted with a twostage Hamilton jet unit.
It had the name Sierra on both sides near the stern.
The boat was mounted on a grey steel trailer with a jockey wheel at the front. There was no registration plate.
