Simon Rae stood down

PA Invercargiill Simon Rae was stood down from racing after his failure in the Christmas Mobile Pace on the second day of the Invercargill Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday. Simon Rae, the favourite for the event, hung badly for most of the journey and stopped badly with about 700 metres to run, losing contact with the field. It was decided to stand down Simon Rae from stake bearing events until such time as he trials to the satisfaction of a stipendiary steward.
