‘Lucky man’ walks away from crash

A man walked away from his car after it smashed against a pole on Wilsons Road, St Martins, yesterday. Mr Brian Lester, an M.E.D. systems operator, begins clearing wire from the smashed pole. The driver, whose name was not available for publication, received only a grazed head in the accident, which happened about 4.55 p.m. Senior Traffic Sergeant Russell Dellor of the Ministry of Transport said traffic officers were amazed the driver was

able to walk away. “He is a very lucjcy man,” he said. Aspects of the. accident were still being studied by traffic officers last evening but some charges would be laid against the driver; Senior-Sergeant ..Dellor said. -
