Upsurge in Fremantle cover
Coverage of the America’s Cup yachting on Two during the Challenger’s semi-finals and finals will be increased extending to total live coverage if KZ7 becomes the cup contender. When the Challengers’ semi-finals begin on Sunday, December 28, Two will cross live for the start of every race featuring KZ7. This 10minute live telecast will screen somewhere between 6.05 p.m. and 6.45
p.m. on each KZ7 race day, and will interrupt scheduled programmes. Coverage during the semi-finals will continue as in the third roundrobin, with race reports every evening at 10.45 p.m., and next-day reports at -12.25 p.m. with repeats at 5.40 p.m.
Viewers will continue to be kept up to date during the evening, with continuous progress reports in these semifinals. KZ7 will race
French Kiss, and Stars and Stripes is against U.S.A. in best-of-seven races.
Should KZ7 be in the Challenge round final (January 13 to 23) Two will cross live to Fremantle between 6 and 7 p.m. on the days that racing occurs, to cover the opening stages of the race.
At about 8 p.m. two will have a 10-minute progress report, and some time between 9.10
p.m. and 9.40 p.m. will cross back to Fremantle for the live finish.
Every race day during that period, there will be a cup report at 10.45 p.m. and a 14-minute following day report at noon.
Should KZ7 contest the America’s Cup final (January.3l to February 15) Two will have live coverage between 6 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. each race day.
