Starwin Boy expected to redeem himself

Starwin Boy is expected to redeem himself when he contests the Placemakers Pace at the New Brighton Trotting Club’s on-course only meeting at Addington Raceway this evening.

The promising Jack Smolenski-trained three-year-old was an odds-on favourite for the Firestone Mile Pace at Addington last Saturday. He was just being pulled out to issue a challenge at the straight entrance when he went off-stride, dropping away to finish last. He had had two wins and two

seconds from seven earlier starts and looked to be capable of rapid promotion through the classes. He has drawn reasonably at No, 5 at the barrier in this evening’s main race and he should make a bold bid to notch his third success. Mystery Light shaped like an early winner when he came from well back for third to Sossy and Margrave at Addington on November 18.
