Roller profit
Canterbury Roller Flour Mills Company, Ltd, has reported a trading profit of $84,000 ($70,000 the previous corresponding period), for the six months ended June 30. Tax took $40,000 ($31,000) leaving a net profit of $44,000 ($39,000).
Turnover was $1,480,000 ($1,300,000). Directors said the company was now achieving benefits from the mill upgrading of the last two years and also of the diversification into products outside the traditional Wheat Board control.
