No clue on election
PA Wellington No indication of an election date is given in the Parliamentary timetable released yesterday. The programme has sitting days mapped out well into August New Zealand is due to go to the polls sometime before the end of September next year. Next year’s ti-'etable continues this years pattern with Parliament slt-
ting for periods of several weeks at a time with breaks in between. The indicated starting date of February 3 is earlier than this year, bcause there will not be a new 1987 session. Sittings next year will technically be a continuation of this year’s session. The House will meet for the whole month of February, the timetable says, take a week off in early March, and then continue
for another five weeks until Easter. ■ It will break for two weeks during Easter before it resumes again for three weeks before rising for a fortnight coinciding with the May school holidays. The House will meet for four weeks in June, before another two-week break and then meet again for five weeks from mid-July to mld-August
