Noah’s Ark

Sir,—The latest report on the sighting of the remains of the Ark is of special interest as it appears, of all places, in the “People’s Daily” of China, a paper not given to propagating biblical truth. Its statement reads: “After a long period of archaeological study, it has been certified that relics discovered are those of Noah’s Ark, as mentioned in the Bible of the Protestant religion ... the length basically matches with the record of the ancient history book.” This is the latest of a number of recorded sightings of

a boat-like structure under the ice of Mount Ararat — about seven this century. In 1955, a Frenchman, Fernand Navarra, recovered some of its wood, hand-tooled, pitch-impregnated, and at least 5000 years old. The Lord likened the “days of Noah” to the days prior to His second advent. The two key words describing Noah’s days are "violence” and “corruption.” — Yours, etc.,
