Danish tourist found
PA Hamiltdn A missing Danish tourist has been found safe and well in Hamilton. The police had expressed concern for the safety of Karsten Steen, aged 20, after property belonging to him was found near the Waikato River. But yesterday Constable Tony Easter reported a happy ending. Mr Steen had turned up at Hamilton police station after the owner of the motel he was staying at recognised his picture which was published, with a report about his disappearance, in the “Waikato Times.” In spite of the fact that a substantial amount of money and his passport were among the recovered property, Mr Steen had not thought to approach the police,, Constable Easter said.
