Magnum dividend

The directors of Magnum Corporation, Ltd, plan a final dividend on ordinary shares for the year ended June 30, 1986, of 16.5 per cent (8.25 c a share) which, together with the interim dividend of 13.5 per cent (6.75 c a share) paid on April 14 will give a total dividend on ordinary shares of 30 per cent for the year compared with 26 per cent for the previous year. They also intend to declare and pay simultaneously a special interim dividend of 10 per cent (5c a share) to mark the successful conclusion of the sale of the company’s tobacco interests and the significant capital profits arising from that sale. The two dividends are intended to be paid from retained earnings and the bonus shares by way of capitalisation of retained earnings. The directors propose to pay the dividends and issue bonus shares in lieu of divi■dends on November 14.
