Condom advts

Sir, — The article about the Catholic magazine, "Tablet,” and its opposition to the A.I.D.S. prevention advertising (September 24) shows how an overmoralistic section of our society can be damaging to the public’s health. How it envisages that it could control the public’s sexual practices I cannot see. The A.I.D.S. foundation, with the help of the Government, has done a good job educating the public on S.T.D. prevention and this is a much more realistic and tolerant view than the “Tablet’s” endorsement of its “own particular life style.” v- Yours, etc.,

G. JUCHAU. September 26, 1986.
