Meat market
Sir, — That the Meat Producer Board’s structure is increasingly seen as another form of social welfare for failed farmers is illustrated by its longstanding loss-making company, Devco. A structure that has had monopoly control of lamb sales in the United States and Canada for some 25 years, during which time, the entire 25 years, the exercise has been officially described as a "development market.” — Yours, etc., EARLE THOMPSON, Albany. September 24, 1986.
