Surprise win from Cherry Tree Hill

Cherry Tree Hill caused a major surprise when winning the Robinson Rosebowl, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park yesterday. The daughter of Club’s Colour’s and May Moss settled well off the pace in the early rush, and steadily made her way through the field to be challenging the early pacemaker, Merely Magic, at the home turn. She soon kicked away to record a confortable victory, winning by two lengths. Swannee Hobbs dashed home late to take second after tailing the field for most of the way.
