Weightlifting record
NZPA-Reuter Moscow Yuri Zakharevich, of the Soviet Union, set a world weightlifting record of 445 kg in the heavyweight division (110 kg in Moscow at the week-end.
Zakharevich, who was competing at the Soviet Spartakiad national games, improved by 2.5 kg the previous record held by another Russian, Leonid Taranenko.
