Two return to N.Z.

Two members of the Royal Commission on Electoral Reform have just returned to New Zealand after a week’s visit to Australia. They were there to talk to the Australian Electoral Commission about the Australian system and the funding of political parties. The two were the chairman of the Human Rights Commission, Mr Justice Wallace, and a Wellington expert on Constitutional law, Professor Ken Keith. The Royal Commission is due to present its report on recommended changes to the electoral law by October 31. Commission members have already been to Europe and Canada on a similar assignment.
