Water polo grant

PA Wellington The New Zealand Swimming Association has been awarded a $5OOO Government grant to offset the costs of staging the women’s World Cup water polo tournament in Christchurch next July. The association was

awarded the tournament, to be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Pool from July 18-25, earlier this year. A lack of money forced the association to decline an invitation to the inaugural women’s world water polo championship in Lisbon next month.
