considered by playwright Jeffrey Thomas, Education Department drama advisor and former theatre director Sunny Amey, and Playmarket dramaturge Lester McGrath. They will select the award winner, who will be announced on September 4, at the New Zealand Playwrights Workshop. The “New Zealand Times” and the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council are supporting the workshop, which runs from August 31 to September 7.
