Prints exchange

The Printmaking Department of Canterbury University has sent twenty-two etchings, woodcuts, and lithographs as an exchange exhibition with the University of Indiana. The works will be shown at the Indiana University Art Museum in September. The prints selected for exhibition here from Indiana have been curated by masters student Bill Whorrall. Mr Whorrall

visited New Zealand in 1985 to arrange this exchange showing, which also involves the Elam School of Fine Arts Printmaking Department and the Otago Polytechnic. Twenty-eight printmakers are involved in the enterprise from Indiana, being represented by 62 prints. These have been despatched in 11 tubes, and a selection will be shown in the School of Fine Arts Gallery from July 28 to 30.
