Loans approved
Special orders covering $5.9 million in loans to the Christchurch City Council were passed by councillors last evening. Notice of special orders for a further $536,000 was also approved. The loans are for the Lichfield Street car-park-ing building extension (2,917,500), the electricity
conversion loans ($1 million), the electricity system extension loan ($1 million), an electricity loan for Bromley-Pages road work ($500,00), the main pumping station work ($300,000) and two loans from the Housing Corporation for elderly persons’ housing, totalling $216,000.
