U.S. court ruling

Sir,—The United States Supreme Court has ruled that sodomy by consenting adults is still a criminal offence (July 2). The court has also upheld a State of Georgia law that makes it a criminal offence for anyone to engage in anal or oral sex. There is no doubt that these acts are perversions of normal sex. If the anti-homosexual reform lobby which is now vowing to contact every voter in the country to get support to repeal the recent bill legalising sodomy is impartial in its anti-perversion stand, it

should include both anal and oral sex as both dangerous and decadent practices, violating natural law, that should be classed as criminal practices.—Yours, etc.,

J. SHARP. July 18, 1986.
