Peter Bagrie suspended
The Ohoka reinsman, Peter Bagrie, had his horseman’s licence suspended until July 31 for causing interference in the Bell-Booth Horse Products Pace at Addington Raceway on Saturday evening. Bagrie, driving Sunday Knight, moved out to get a run 100 m from the finish, forcing Counsel Del on to Skywalker. Both horses broke and lost all chance.
Sunday Knight, which finished second, was subsequently disqualified.
In the same event, the connections of Hiker Harry were advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of the stipendiary stewards, before resuming in penalty-bear-ing races. Timely Patron, which dropped out with a lap to run in the Sam Henderson Mobile Pace, was found to hdve had her tongue over the bit The connections of Bay’s Pride and Streak were warned to improve the racing manners of these respective horses.
