Always Summer chasing winter double again
The Feilding-trained Always Summer, winner of the formidable Whyte HandicapWinter Cup double last winter, is one of 90 entered for the Canterbury Jockey Club’s AIC International Winter Cup again this year. Always Summer is also tilting at the first leg of the famous winter metric mile double again. How she fares in the Whyte Handicap at Trentham on Saturday should have a bearing on her chances in the $40,000 feature flat race at Riccarton on August 9.
