Three schools burgled

Three Christchurch schools were burgled during the week-end.

Two cellos, valued at $6OO each, and a stereo, valued about $2OOO, were stolen from the music room of Manning Intermediate School in Hoon Hay Road. The burglars removed louvres to get into the room.

Burglars at Wharenui Primary School removed toilet louvres, climbed up through a manhole and then crashed through the ceiling into the secretary’s office.

The ceiling was damaged, and some petty cash and a calculator were stolen.

A film projector, valued about $2BOO, and a slide projector were stolen from Christchurch East Primary School.
