Pironi racing again
The former French Ferrari driver, Didier Pironi, so grievously injured while practising for the 1982 German Grand Prix, seems to have recovered sufficiently to take up racing again. Although Enzo Ferrari has always declared there will be a Formula One Ferrari for Pironi when he is ready to race, rumour has it that he will make a comeback in a saloon in the European Touring Car Championship round at Spa, Belgium, on August 2. So far the saloon has not been nominated, but from the same source comes news that the Formula One Beatrice team member, Patrick . Tambay, will front up for the same race with a Ford Sierra Turbo.
