Hyundai range will be expanded
A four-door saloon version of the Hyundai Excel four-door hatchback, as well as a two-door hatchback, are likely to be among the Korean cars to go on the local market over the next year or so. The managing director of Korean Motors, Ltd, Hugh Berry, said in Auckland recently - that his company, which is part of the Giltrap group, intended to launch two additional models at Auckland’s Motor Expo in July and would introduce an additional four models in 1987. Overseas reports indicate that, as well as the Excel two-door hatchback and Excel-based saloon, the Korean carmaker is likely to come up with a revised 1600 cu cm Stellar saloon and a two-litre version. Hyundai has also a station waggon version of the Stellar and some one ton vans on the stocks.
