Public Notices , AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF ESTIMATES AND INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 121 of the Local Government Act 1974, Public Notice is hereby given that the Amur! County Council has prepared and approved the Estimates of Income and Expenditure for the financial year commencing on April 1, 1986 and ending on March 31. 1987. A copy of the approved Estimates is available for public Inspection during normal office hours at the Council Office. It is hereby further publicly notified that it Is the intention of the Amur! County Council at Its next ordinary meeting to be held on Friday July 4 1986 at the Council Chambers, Culverden, to make and levy the following rates and charges on the rateable capital value of all property appearing on the valuation rolls of the Amurl County for the period commencing the first day of April 1986 and ending on the 31st day of March 1987 pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974, the Rating Act 1967, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, all other Acts empowering the Council In that behalf and all amendments to such Acts, such Hates, Charges and Uniform Charges being Inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax as determined by the requirements of the Goods and Services Tax Act 1985. 1. Under Section 136 of the Local Government Act 1974, a general rate of .357 of a cent In the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls of the Amurl County. 2. Under the Local Government Act 1974, and the Amurl County Water Race By-laws a Balmoral water race loan rate of .0189, .00945, .00315 of a cent In the dollar on the capital value of Classes A,B,C, land respectively in the Balmoral water race district. 3. Under Section 143 of the Local Government Act 1974, a Walau Hall Maintenance Rate of .0063 of a cent In the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Walau and Lyndon Ridings. 4. Under Section 163 of the Local Government Act 1974, a charge of $14.70 for domestic and $26.25 for trade refuse removal In the Hanmer, Culverden, Rotherham and Walau town areas. 5. Under Section 162 of the Local Government Act 1974, a charge of $26.25 per W.C. or urinal connected to the Hanmer sewerage system. 6. In exercise of the powers conferred on It by Sections 143 and 158 of the Local Government Act 1974, and In pursuance of Part 22 of the County by-laws, the following water supply and maintenance charges: (a) A Hanmer Springs water supply loan and maintenance rate of 0.105 of a cent In the dollar on the capital value of all rateable land In the Hanmer water supply area. (b) An additional charge of 15 cents per five thousand litres on all commercial lands and buildings In the Hanmer and Walau water supply special areas on a metered supply for all water used in excess of 450,000 litres per annum. 7. (a) A Walau township water supply loan and maintenance annual uniform, charge varying from $115.50 to $346.50 as classified for connections on all lands in the Walau township water supply area. (b) An annua! uniform charge of $57.75 for sections to which water can be connected. 8. (a) A Culverden township water supply loan and maintenance annual uniform charge varying from $2lO to $lO5O as classified for all connections on all lands In the Culverden township water supply special area. (b) An annual uniform charge of $lO5 for sections to which water can be connected. 9. A Walau rural water supply charge of $199.50 per unit. 10. A Walau rural water supply supplementary charge of $31.50 per unit. 11. An Amurl Plains Rural Water Supply charge of $57.75 per unit. 12. A Balmoral Rural Water Supply charge of $42 per unit. 13. Under Section 143(c) of the Local Government Act 1974, a Pahau Riding amenities rate of .0063 of a cent In the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property In the Pahau Riding. 14. A Hanmer Springs War Memorial Hall maintenance rate of .0105 of a cent In the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property In the Hanmer riding. 15. Such rates as the Marlborough Catchment Board shall strike on the capital value of all rateable land in the Marlborough Catchment Board district under the jurisdiction of the Amurl County Council. 16. Such rates as the North - Canterbury Catchment Board shall strike by way of special order on the capital value of.all rateable land In the North Canterbury Catchment Board district under the Jurisdiction of the Amurl County Council. All such rates and charges shall be for the period commencing on April 1, 1986 and ending on March 31, 1987 and the first Instalment shall be due and payable on May 1, 1986 and the second Instalment shall be due and payable on September 1,1986 and the third instalment shall be due and payable on January 1, 1987. A penalty of 10 per cent will be added to the rates payable on the first Instalment not paid on or before June 15,1986 and to those rates payable on the second Instalment not paid on or before October 15, 1986 and to those rates payable on the third instalment not paid on or before February 15, 1987.
