Public Notices _____ JE_E ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL F P NOTICE OF ESTIMATES AND INTENTION SL2 TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES COUNTY COUNCtL PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS of Sections 121 and 122 of the Local Government Act, 1974, Public Notice is hereby given that the Ellesmere County Council has prepared and approved the Estimates of Income and Expenditure for the financial year commencing April 1,1986, and concluding March 31,1987. A copy of the approved Estimates is available for public inspection during normal office hours at the public office of the Council, High Street, Leeston. IT IS HEREBY further publicly notified that it is the intention of the Ellesmere County Council at its next Ordinary Meeting to be held on Monday, June 23, 1986, in the Council Chambers, High Street, Leeston, to make the undermentioned Uniform Charges and make and levy the undermentioned Rates and Charges on the Rateable Capital Value of all Rateable Properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls now in force im the County of Ellesmere, for the period commencing the first day of April, 1986 and ending on the 31st day of March, 1987 pusuant to the provisions of the Local Government Act, 1974, the Rating Act, 1967, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, all other Acts empowering the Council in that behalf, and all Amendments to such Acts, such Rates, Charges and Uniform Charges being inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax as determined by the requirments of the Goods and Services Tax Act, 1985. (1) A General Rate of decimal two eight six one (.2861) cents in the dollar on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Ridings of Irwell, Southbridge, Rakaia, Springston and Greenpark. (2) A Community Council General Rate of decimal three seven three nine (.3739) cents in the dollar on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Community Council of Leeston. (3) A Community Council General Rate of decimal three three zero eight (.3308) cents in the dollar on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Community Council of Southbridge. (17) A Uniform Water Maintenance Charge of $36.75 on each connection with a j minimum charge of $18.38 on all lands and dwellinghouses to which water can be but is not supplied, in the Leeston and Southbridge Urban Water Supply areas. i (18) A Uniform Sewerage Charge of $56.70 for each house, flat, shop, or other . building, $18.90 each additional closet or urinal up to seven, and $9.45 thereafter, in the Leeston Urban Drainage District and a minimum charge > of $28.35 on any Valuation Assessment to which sewerage can be, but is not connected. (30) Uniform Water Supply Loan Charges in the Dunsandel Urban Water Supply District — (a) For those properties which did not accept lump sum contributions I $257.26 with a minimum charge of $128.63 on all lands and buildings to , which water can be but is not supplied. (b) For those properties previously connected to a subdivisional water supply > which did not accept lump sum contributions $109.10 wth a minimum I charge of $54.55 on all lands and buildings to which water can be but is > not supplied. i (31) Such Rates as are made by Special Order by the North Canterbury r Catchment Board for the year commencing April 1,1986 and concluding March 31, 1987. The above rates and charges to be for the financial year commencing on t the Ist day of April, 1986, and concluding on the 31st day of March, 1987, and to " become due and payable by three instalments on the May 1,1986, September 1, t 1986 and January 1987. Such payments to be made at the offices of the Ellesmere County Council, High Street, Leeston where the Valuation Rolls are now open t for public inspection during normal office hours. In terms of Section 71 of the Rating Act, 1967, a penalty of ten per centum (10 per cent) will be added to all rates which remain unpaid forty six days after the due date of instalments one and two and forty seven days after the due date ■ of instalment three, i.e. June 16, 1986, October 16, 1986, February 1987.
