Trentham events 2250m
PA Wellington
All middle-distance events at next month’s winter meeting of the Wellington Racing Club will be run over 2250 m.
The club secretary, Mr Brian Guthrie, said the distance, which differs from what has previously been advertised, was chosen to accommodate a suitable starting point with a false rail to be used.
Mr Guthrie said the false rail will be out to its allowable distance and consequently six races will have an increase in distance.
