Sir What are the boundaries of the Accident Compensation Corporation’s responsibilities? In one week, over $lB,OOO is paid to a prisoner and medical expenses and the extra cost for first-class air fares to America are paid to tourists (June 7). While expressing personal sympathy to Mr and Mrs Stein, may I point out that, as a tourist in America, I pay travel insurance to cover such emergencies in that country. ,It seems that I pay insurance both for myself when in America, and for Americans when they are in New Zealand. — Yours, etc., MARGARET MOON.
