Fun runners’ guide

“The Press” Park to Park fun run is now behind us for 1986. Many runners now have their sights on the Moro Christchurch half and full marathon, on June 1. Fun runners must always have a goal and the immediate ones are the 10km Race Against Time on May 25, and a forest run on June 8. Runners need to continue Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 30

minutes, and Wednesday and Friday 45 minutes. On Sunday run for 1 hour and 15 minutes one week, and the next stretch it to 2 hours, thus gaining recovery time and avoiding injury. For next week, half marathon and marathon runners will need to run 30 to 45 minutes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 70 to 90 minutes on Wednesday and Friday, and 90 minutes to 2 hours on Sunday.
