BP rise
British Petroleum has announced a rise in its profits for 1985, but said plummeting world oil prices could dent this year’s figures. BP, Britain’s biggest company after the Anglo-Dutch Shell oil giant, made £1.6 billion (SNZ4.2 billion) last year, compared with £1.4 billion (SNZ3.6 billion) in 1984.
