Dire Straits concert
Sir,—l was ihterested to see that the rock concert promoter, lan Magan, considers that the forthcoming concert “will cause no real problems for local residents" and fchait hny complainants are likely to bd old people who “don’t like to dee young people out enjoying themselves” (“The Press,” February 14). The repetitive low-frequehcy thud of rock music will penetrate closed doors
and windows, making life miserable for those who cannot stomach this form of entertainment. Mr Magan would, I believe, do well to give some consideration to those who are the unwilling victims of his promotions.— Yours, etc., ROGER BROWNE. February 16, 1986.
