Paramedics pull a woman from the icy waters of the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh after she apparently jumped from a bridge. She held on to a chunk of ice for 35 minutes and was unconscious when rescued. The woman, who has not been identified, is in a critical condition in hospital suffering from severe hypothermia. A paramedic said: “She is extremely lucky to be alive.”
