William Travis
Sir,—l have been asked by the trustees of the W. H. Travis Trust to find out what I can about William Henry Travis who died in 1927 leaving a considerable sum of money for medical research. Mr Travis was unmarried but his sisters, Elizabeth Ann Armitage and Rose Barrett, both had two daughters. Mr Travis also had a brother who may have had children. I am having some difficulty finding out much beyond a few bare facts about W. H. Travis and would be delighted to hear from any descendants of relatives or friends of Mr Travis who might be able to provide me with further information. I will, of course, meet the expenses incurred by anyone contacting me or providing me with information. — Yours, etc., JOHN WILSON. Sutton Royal, R.D. 4 Christchurch. January 14, 1986.
