Landmark potential
PA Auckland Landmark Properties, Ltd, considers its recent acquisition, the ANZ Bank building in Queen Street, Auckland, to have the potential to show the largest capital appreciation of any of the company’s property developments. The chairman, Sir George Chapman, said in the full interim report that Landmark paid $2.4M for the freehold of the building, which reflected the longterm nature of the head lease to the ANZ Bank.
In the six months to September 30, Landmark’s profit of $3,836,094 included a trading profit of $599,000 and capital profits of $3,202,000.
