Woman shot dead
PA Auckland Detectives last evening converged on a Glen Eden flat after a woman, aged 27, was shot dead. They are treating her death as homicide. The police, who recovered a shotgun in the flat, cordoned the area about 9 p.m. Detective Chief Inspector
Peter Jenkinson, of the Auckland C. 1.8., was leading a team investigating the death. A pathologist and police photographers were called to the scene. Late last evening a number of people at Henderson Police Station were reported to be helping the police with their inquiries into the incident.
