G. Stewart for Hokitika
The successful North Island jockey, Gary Stewart, who rode Bonecrusher to win the New Zealand Derby at Ellerslie on Boxing Day, will ride at the Westland Racing Club’s meeting at Hokitika on Monday. Stewart, who has just completed his apprenticeship with Brian Deacon at Takanini, will fly back north on Tuesday to fulfil engagements at Avondale.
