Victoria Square
Sir,—The Christchurch City councillors are to be congratulated for their enthusiastic response to the proposals for Victoria Square. As your article on December 13 indicated, this imaginative scheme is clearly the result of successful team work by the professionals involved. It is unfortunate that in reviewing the details of the proposal your reporter omitted to make any mention of the contribution made by the city’s landscape architects. I am sure that the other members of the design team would agree that their major role in the development of the scheme should be fully recognised—Yours, etc., SIMON R. SWAFFIELD. December 17, 1985.
