Illegal cabbies held
NZPA-Reuter Chicago American immigration agents descended on Chicago taxi ranks today and yanked from their vehicles 108 Pakistani,
Nigerian, Indian, Iranian and other drivers deemed to be illegal aliens. The raid left empty cabs standing by the curb at O’Hare International and,
Midway airports, and the Merchandise" Mart emporium, in central Chicago. Agents went from cab to cab down waiting queues quizzing drivers about their nationality.
