Tourists hurt in crash
Four Japanese tourists were treated for cuts and abrasions at Ashburton Hospital yesterday morning after an accident on the Rakaia Bridge.
Traffic Officer Bob Maxwell said the group’s car had been travelling south when it appeared to have gone out of control. It hit an oncoming truck-and-trailer unit.
