E.S.T.V. head named
PA Wellington The former GovernorGeneral, Sir David Beattie, has been appointed chair-man-designate of the board of the E.S.T.V. Network, Ltd.
The company is the service organisation of the four E.S.T.V. regional companies applying for warrants for the third television channel.
If the warrants were granted, E.S.T.V. would become a public company with an authorised capital of ?50 million, the company said yesterday. Sir David, who is closely involved with the new chair of communications at Victoria University, will take up the chairmanship next month.
