GENERAL MANAGER GOVERNMENT COMPUTING SERVICE Applications are sought for the position of General Manager of the Government Computing Service. The Government Computing Service is a newly established independent agency, within the public service, which is in business to provide consultancy and Information processing services to its clients, on a commercial basis. The establishment of the Government Computing Service is part of a new approach to the provision of computing in the public sector which was approved by Government in September. The Government Computing Service is a moderately large business, employing approximately 500 staff, and with projected revenues of nearly $6O million for the current financial year. The General Manager who will report to the Minister in charge of the Government Computing Service, should have proven management experience and ability preferably with a knowledge of the EDP industry and the public service.
