WITH INTERESTED PARTIES INTO PROPOSAL OF LYTTELTON HARBOUR BOARD TO UNDERTAKE RECLAMATION OF 3.95 HECTARES WITHIN THE INNER HARBOUR AT LYTTELTON. PURSUANT to Section 12 of the New Zealand Ports Authority Act 1968, the authority proposes to consult with Government departments and other bodies or persons appearing to be directly concerned with a proposal of the Lyttelton Harbour Board that It should undertake reclamation of 3.95 hectares within the inner harbour adjacent to Gladstone Pier at Lyttelton. Reclamation of an area of 0.8 hectares will allow for Improved terminal access; reclamation of the remaining 3.15 hectares will allow for an Increase In area for the container terminal and/or backup land for multi-purpose shipping cargo requirements. The works are estimated to cost $10,000,000 and would be funded from the use of loan monies. To this end, the authority Invites any such Government Departments and other bodies or persons to prepare statements of their views on the proposal and submit them to the authority. Ten (10) copies of any submissions should be lodged with the authority or posted so as to reach him not later than 5.00 p.m. on Friday, 17 January 1986. The authority’s offices are located on Level 8, A.A. Centre, 342 Lambton Quay, Wellington, and the postal address is Post Office Box 10-059, The Terrace, Wellington.
