with isolated showers, but some fine intervals; mild, with light northerly winds. Westland: Cloudy at times, with isolated showers; light or moderate variable winds; mild. Extended forecast to Saturday: An anticyclone south of New Zealand is moving slowly north-eastwards and should maintain easterly or northerly winds over the country most of the forecast period; a trough of low pressure now over eastern Australia is expected to move on to New Zealand on Saturday.
