Missing beasts
Sir,—Has anybody reported a sighting of Rufus Omnibus, commonly known as the “Big Red”? This gentle animal was seen, until recently, grazing off the pavements of suburbia, but Professor B. A. H. Humbug assures me that this species may soon become extinct through under-exploitation. In the interests of conservation (footwear, panelbeating and sanity) let us start a campaign to raise enough money to support this endangered species beloved by all with pedestrian tendencies. — Yours, etc., KAREN G.
