Mr Lange to open farmers’ congress
The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, will open the fifth World Congress of Young Farmers this morning at Lincoln College. The congress has brought together more than 200 delegates to discuss the “Vocation of Agriculture,” a theme which coincides with
that of this week’s Canterbury A. and P. Show — “Opportunity in Agriculture.” The conference, for five days this week in and around Christchurch, consists of several business sessions interspersed with farm and factory visits.
