A.I.D.S.
Sir,—ln August this year the total American cases of true A.I.D.S. numbered 12,256. Of these, 8861 were homosexuals, 2082 intravenous drug users (sexual preference not stated) and only 120 heterosexually infected — a low figure considering the growing fashion of marital anal intercourse indicated by American novels in the last few years. A.I.D.S. statistics for Haiti, first claimed to support the heterosexual myth, now matched the American pattern of promiscuous sodomy as the -overwhelming villain. Long articles on the research into A.I.D.S. in Africa are invariably short on statistics. One study on Rwanda, the alleged cradle of heterosexual infection, reported only one death — that of a Caucasian homosexual. The promised series of advertisements on “A.I.D.S. The Facts” is unlikely to appear, as the true facts have now back-fired on the gay promoters of the campaign. — Yours, etc., VARIAN J. WILSON. November 6, 1985. $
